I had a wonderful time visiting Immaculate Conception school in Clintonville (just down the street from the Dusenbury House) to talk about Crime Cats, Clintonville history, and the process and tribulations of being a writer. The students and faculty provided me with a fantastic experience. I'm looking forward to coming back for future volumes of Crime Cats.
I was happy to help owner and founder, Chris Kuras, raise funds through her Kickstarter campaign to make Eat, Purr, Love Cat Cafe a reality. Bright and early Sunday morning the cafe held a private reading for the backers who pledged for the Crime Cats reward. The backers were treated to a private reading, signed copies of Crime Cats: Missing, and the company of the cafe's charming residents. I had a lot of fun making new friends and chatting over coffee. If you haven't made it out to the cafe, do yourself a favor and book your appointment now.
