I had the pleasure of speaking to the Sunset Literary Club this week. Sunset is the oldest active literary club in Columbus, Ohio, tracing its origin back 107 years! The ladies were gracious hosts and an appreciative audience. My thanks to Beth, for bringing me in and to the rest of the club for their hospitality, wonderful company, and generosity. I got to live out one of my dreams last month when I was invited to my first elementary school, Richard Avenue, in Grove City, Ohio. And even better, the faculty at neighboring Highland Park Elementary had me in as well. Both visits were amazing! The kids were incredible! I was so honored to have the opportunity to share the writing inspired by my childhood in Grove City with the kids who are living theirs. I even received some great artwork and thank you letters. I've posted a couple of them below.
