The third Crime Cats book got the thumbs-up from editor Ben Sostrom during our meeting this week. He's given the go-ahead to begin writing the Deadly Scarab. I'm super excited to begin. This book will introduce some new characters and pack some huge surprises. Prepare for the biggest adventure yet!

I'm happy to report that work on Crime Cats: The Deadly Scarab has begun. I'm not sure exactly how long the production will take. Missing took nine months and The Dusenbury Curse took six months, so I'm hopeful that production times will continue to shrink.
I'm not going to reveal too much other than like The Dusenbury Curse, the story of The Deadly Scarab is based on an obscure piece of Columbus history. Oh, and the action is WAY bigger than the previous books—WAY bigger. My advice is to buckle up, because this adventure will leave you breathless!
